Music, wine & food pairing at Live in the Vineyard
Three days of music, wine, and food set amidst top tier wineries in the Napa Valley sounded almost too good to be true. Live in the Vineyard is a twice-yearly event that features award-winning musicians paired with the valley’s wine and culinary talent. The event hosted 250 people, creating an intimate ambiance.
Attendees were either invited or winners of radio promotions which made the experience even more special. Each event featured music paired with wine and food scattered throughout the Napa Valley’s lush vineyards. Musical talent included multi-platinum and emerging artists in electric and acoustic performances.
Throughout the course of the weekend performances included Five for Fighting, Gavin DeGraw, James Blunt, and Jonas Brothers, to name only a few. Concerts were performed at wineries, theaters and event venues in Napa Valley. Celebrity Chefs were on hand to share their culinary expertise in cooking demonstrations and perfectly crafted bites that paired with the abundance of wine.
Speaking of wine, Sutter Home Family Vineyards an event sponsor, hosted the Five for Fighting concert with wine tasting of their myriad of wine brands along with savory and sweet snacks. Guests could stroll the grounds and the tasting room in search of their favorite wine selections. A photo booth allowed the adventurous to channel their inner rock star to share with friends. Sutter Home is responsible for the White Zinfandel craze and they are seeing a similar popularity with Moscato.
During the weekend, we enjoyed numerous concerts, a cooking demonstration by Joey Altman, and tasting lots of Napa Valley wine. Friday’s Extreme Music Event featured live bands, food, wine and a Food Network style cooking event. Throughout the weekend social media ruled the day with Tweets, Instagram and Facebook posts. The intimate environments afforded guests up-close-and-personal interaction with the artists. This was truly a weekend to remember.
