"THE OFFICIAL WINE OF LIVE IN THE VINEYARD"
SPEND A DAY INDULGING YOUR SENSES AT BERINGER
NAPA VALLEY’S OLDEST CONTINUOUSLY OPERATING WINERY
It’s hard to say whether Beringer Vineyards’ biggest attraction is its award-winning wines or the gorgeous property and grounds. Fortunately, you won’t have to choose if you spend a day indulging in everything the historic Napa Valley winery has to offer.
With a winemaking tradition dating back 135 years, Beringer is Napa Valley’s oldest continuously operating winery. That deep history will be evident on your first approach to the property through the lushly landscaped grounds that play back to the property’s Victorian origins. Established by the German Beringer brothers in 1876, the entire property was designated a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
Begin your day by delving into the property’s history and inner workings with one of two distinctive tours. The Introduction to Beringer Tour takes you through the Old Stone Winery and wine-aging tunnels, giving you an insider’s view of the winemaking process and Beringer’s storied history. The engaging Taste of Beringer Tour gives visitors in-depth knowledge of wine tasting techniques and concludes with
Following your tour and tasting, you’ll want to explore Beringer’s world-class wine shop in the Old Stone Winery. There you will find a selection of wines only available direct from the winery as well as your favorite Beringer wines.
Since you’ll likely find yourself getting hungry at this point, head next door to the Old Bottling Room Market, which offers an extensive selection of gourmet food items, gifts and wine accessories. Grab a sandwich or salad and a glass of wine to take outside for an al fresco lunch in the famous Napa Valley sunshine. Afterwards, work off lunch on the bocce ball court or while further exploring the beautiful gardens.

Once you’re done relaxing outside, move on to Beringer’s architectural gem, the Rhine House, which was painstakingly crafted of intricate carved wood and Belgian Art Nouveau glass. The house was built in 1883 and today, accommodates the ornate Reserve Tasting Bar. There you can experience the winery’s award-winning, limited-production vintages, including the renowned Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
Whether you are a wine connoisseur or a relative novice, Beringer Vineyards offers a full sensory experience that you won’t find anywhere else. A perfect way to spend a day with friends, family or your better half, the beautiful grounds and historic architecture alone could keep you entertained
